The
DC is an instrument for testing DC presence
in wires in cars, trucks and other vehicles without
metallic contact. The user can in a few seconds find
breaks in cables, detect live wires and find faulty
fuses.
The
DC consists of two units, a transmitter
and a receiver. The transmitter is connected to the
car battery and produces a very weak signal. The receiver
is held against the cable to be tested and indicates
the produced signal from the transmitter if the cable
is connected to the battery. The transmitter can also
be connected to non-live wires. In that case it generates
a signal by the use of its built-in battery. The transmitter
can also be used as a voltmeter, continuity tester with
built-in buzzer and resistance meter.
General Transmitter Specifications:
• Connects to the vehicles battery or non enegized
circuits
• Automatic adjustment of 12 / 24 volts systems
• Displays the system voltage
• Resistance meter, 1-1000 ohm
• Continuity test with built-in buzzer
• Automatic error checking
• Powered by 2 AA batterier (R6). can also be
powered by the external car battery
General
Receiver Specifications:
• Easy
to use
• No
damage to cables or insulation
• High
selectivity using the forked tip (patent applied for)
• Adapter
included for testing larger objects, fuses etc
• Fully
insulated design eliminates the risk of short curcuits
• Powerful
red light in the forked tip when voltage is detected
• Powered
by 2 AAA (LR03) batteries
